Prophecy of His name
YirmeYahuw (Jeremiah) 23:5-6 (RNV) "Behold! The days are coming," says Yahuwah, "that I will raise to Dawiyd a Branch of Righteousness. A King shall reign and prosper and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Yahudah will be saved and Yisra'el will dwell safely. Now this is His name by which He will be called: Yahuwah OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
ZekarYahuw (Zechariah) 6:9-13 (RNV) Then the word of Yahuwah came to me saying, 10 "Receive from the captives, from Chelday, TowbiYahuw, and Yeda'Yahuw, who have come from Babel, and go the same day and enter the house of Yo'shiYahuw the son of TsephanYahuw. 11 Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Yahushua, the son of Yahuwtsadaq, the high temple official. 12 Then speak to him saying, 'Thus says Yahuwah of hosts saying, "Behold the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out and He shall build the temple of Yahuwah. 13 Yes, He shall build the temple of Yahuwah. He shall bear the splendor and shall sit and rule on His throne. So He shall be a Temple Official on His throne and the counsel of peace shall be between them both."'

A Comparison of Mosheh and Yahushua
Dabariym 18:15-18 (RNV) Yahuwah your Eloah will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst, from your brothers. Him you shall hear 16 according to all you desired of Yahuwah your Eloah in Choreb in the day of the assembly saying, 'Let me not hear again the voice of Yahuwah my Eloah nor let me see this great fire anymore lest I die.' 17 And Yahuwah said to me, 'What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers and will put My words in His mouth and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.
In Dabariym 18:15-18, Mosheh told the sons of Yisra’el that Yahuwah would raise up another prophet like himself. After Mosheh, there was a succession of prophets, including all those mentioned by name in scripture such as YashaYahuw, YirmeYahuw, Yechezq'el, and finally Yahushua the Anointed. Yahushua was very much like Mosheh. Both were delivered from death as infants. Both were prophets. Both performed miracles. Both were leaders of the covenant people, and both were intermediaries between Yahuwah and man. No other prophet in scripture, or anywhere else for that matter, is as much like Mosheh than Yahushua.

Some people (read muslims) are quite vociferous about the above scriptural passage applying to muhammed. They say that because they are taught that there are NO similarities between Mosheh and Yahushua, which you can see in the above table is anything BUT the truth (as usual for muslims). They claim that muhammad and Mosheh are more alike because of his type of birth (conceived by sexual relations between a man and a woman), the fact that he married and had children, etc.
As you can see from the table above, their theory that muhammad is the prophet spoken of in that passage is seriously flawed. One big flaw is that the people called "brothers" in scripture are literally those of their own flesh and blood and close relations. Muhammad was an Arab and not of Yisra’el, so even though they claim descent from Yishma’el (Ishmael - the son of bondage) and Esaw (Esau - the denier of his birthright) that fatal flaw completely lets him out.
The fact that they so easily overlook is that scripture does NOT say that Yahushua and Mosheh will be identical in all things, but that they will be similar. Should these people take the time to be intellectually honest (being muslim they don’t know how to do this) and really compare Mosheh and muhammad they will find many more differences between those two than between Yahushua and Mosheh and many fewer similarities.
