Racism and the Assembly

Is Yahuwah a Racist?

Just over two thousand years ago, in a small Mediterranean country called Yisra'el (Israel) there was born a man-child. This man-child was born of a woman who was of Ibriy (Hebrew) descent. The racial descent of His mother is shown in what is known as the Sacred Scripture and proves that He is of the Ibriy line of the second king of Yisra'el, Dawiyd (David), whose line can be traced all the way back to Adam. He did not have an earthly and physical father, but was conceived by the Sacred Spirit of our Creator Yahuwah. Therefore this man-child's physical characteristics were those of the physical characteristics of His mother. Hereditary factors ensure that. She was of Semitic extraction, plain and simple, and she therefore shared the Semitic features of the people in that nation, and physically her Son did too.

Many so-called pictures of this man are hanging on the walls of various homes and buildings of the world today that supposedly show His features ranging from those of a blond-haired and blue-eyed Caucasian all the way to those of a kinky-haired and brown-eyed negro. There are even a very few that cause Him to look like the Semitic people of His nativity. Most make Him appear physically attractive, yet scripture says plainly that He would not be so.

None of these pictures can really be correct though, as no one of today really knows what He looked like physically. Every picture that is seen is no more than the rendering of how some particular artist thought He looked, and when these pictures are accorded worship, which they are in certain "churches," they become violations of the second commandment.

The picture shown at the left has the Semitic characteristics of the people of Yeruwshalom (Jerusalem) and is probably much closer to how He actually appeared than any of the blond haired and blue eyed or negroid pictures that are extant. This picture was taken from a forensic build-up of a skull that was found in Yeruwshalom that dated from the first century CE.

The Man Yahushua came as the Savior of only those Semitic people into whose nation He was born. His primary purpose in coming to earth in a physical form was to offer to those particular Semitic people, called the Ibriy, and to them only, the hope of salvation (Mat 15:24).

In this matter, He was discriminating against all the other people in this world, no matter what their skin color or national origin, in denying to them the same opportunities that He was offering to His countrymen. Did that make Him a racist?

Since He was also the Creator of all people on this earth, and therefore all belong to Him, if He was being racist, that was his prerogative. But He made it plain that once He had been rejected, as He knew He would be, by the Semitic tribes He had come to, He was going to open the door of salvation to all mankind. So even though His initial actions may have looked like racism, the long term plan was anything but.

There are many among the "African-American" community who are putting out and apparently believe the ridiculous statement that there is proof in scripture that Yahushua had to be of black African extraction because His ancestors were black African. They "interpret" such scriptures as those below to mean and "prove" that all those being spoken of in scripture could not have had "white" skin and therefore had to be black Africans. From this they reason that since the people in the particular story "must" have been black, everybody else around them "must" also have been black. Now THAT is racism in its purest form!

NOTE: All verses below are quoted from the King James Version because most people are familiar with that version. Remember that there are many translational errors in that version however, and you, the reader, must be very careful about what you believe from it. You can download The Sacred Scriptures, Restored Names Version, from the Links to the RNV on the menu bar above.

  • Shemot (Exodus) 4:6-7 (KJV) And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

  • Wayiqra (Numbers) 12:10 (KJV) And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

  • Iyowb (Job) 30:30 (KJV) My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.

  • Song of Songs 1:5-6 (KJV) I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. 6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

  • YirmeYahuw (Jeremiah) 8:21 (KJV) For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.

  • Lamentations 5:10 (KJV) Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

Since the people under consideration in the above passages of scripture were for the most part of Semitic extraction, I would be very surprised to find out that any of them were "white." Their skin color was darker than what is erroneously called Caucasian, but lighter than most of the people called negro, and had a range of shades that varied considerably, just as the "black" Africans of the world of today have also. So black they were not. Brown or olive-complexioned they absolutely were, just as are their descendants of today.

These people conveniently overlook passages of scripture and meanings that could just as easily be twisted to mean that all Yisra’eliy were "white" such as those below.

  • Song of Songs 5:10 (KJV) My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

  • Lamentations 4:7-8 (KJV) Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:

Something else that these people seem to forget, again conveniently, is that there are several races of people other than those of Africa who have black or very dark skins. Visit Singapore, or Trinidad, or places like that where there are people of east Indian extraction and you will see many individuals who do not have one drop of African Negro blood in their veins who are very much darker than the darkest negro.

Now racism and bigotry is really quite prevalent in the world's society. There are some really racist and bigoted people around in every country under the sun. They really do hate and discriminate against people whose skin color differs from their own and for that one reason alone. This is truly racist and bigoted.

The people who do this come in all colors themselves. They are not restricted to the so-called "white" races. As a matter of fact, from the evidence seen in the media and on the streets of the world today, there are many more people of black African origin, whose skin color ranges from near white to very dark black, that deliberately and maliciously discriminate against anyone who they consider to be "white," including the lighter skinned members of their own group.

These black people who are doing these racist things are not just the common black man on the street, the street gangs, or others of that nature. Unhappily a lot of them consider themselves "Christian" and are even "ordained" preachers without ever understanding that they are really servants of satan.

Many of them are also the so-called "men of God" who are considered to be leaders of the "black community." Men such as Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Mfumbe, and all of others who use the title Reverend. They are also found in our police departments in organizations such as the Black Officers Organizations. In fire departments in organizations such as the Black Firefighters Union, in the Congress of the United Sates and state houses in groups such as the Black Caucuses. Every one of these organizations is racist. Every one of these organizations has the sole intent of forwarding their black members welfare over the welfare of any individual not of their "race," regardless of the group's merits of which the members make claim. All they have to be is black, and that automatically makes them the victim who needs recompense, apologies, or other such things aimed at getting a free ride in society. All because they are black. This is bigotry, bias, and racism at its worst.

To believe and proclaim a doctrine the causes racial division and strife is exactly the opposite of what scripture teaches that followers of haMashiach (the Anointed) will be found doing. To teach this division and strife as a doctrine of our Father is unconscionable and they will face the wrath of Yahuwah for doing so. The time is coming, and is now very near, when these people will be called to answer for their actions and attitudes, and I would hate to be in their shoes when that time arrives.

The assembly of people called the Body of the Anointed knows no such division and strife. It is following the precept of unity that is taught in scripture and has one Eloah, one immersion, and one Spirit. Skin color is irrelevant!

You are going to find very little of this scriptural harmony among different "races" in what passes for "Christianity" today however, so that cannot be true Christianity at all but some satan spawned counterfeit of it. If you truly love our Savior, you will also love all of His followers, for they are your true brothers. Love of the brotherhood is the real test of whether or not you are a follower of haMashiach. Skin color has nothing to do with it.

I remember the story of the little boy who was watching a man filling balloons with helium. Every once in a while one of the balloons got away and invariably headed for the sky. The little boy asked the man, "Excuse me, Sir, but how come when you let go of the yellow balloon, red balloon, white balloon, and black balloon that they always float up to the sky?" The man answered, "The color of the balloon makes no difference, little boy. It’s what’s inside that matters."

The same thing is true of the assembly. The color of the skin makes no difference. It is what is inside that truly matters. I have also heard it said that before you ever turn on your biases again that you should remember that the cord that binds us is not race, it’s grace. Also make no mistake about it. The thing that separates us is not skin, its sin.
